Amy had thrown her old day bed into the dumpster and so my husband climbed into the dumpster and pulled the bed out and dug around for the knobs, bought a couple of cans of spray paint and this is what he produced. R loves it. Matt then built a trundle bed for J. J also loves his because he can get in and out all by himself. (the books off of the shelf would be his doing during his nap time.)

The only thing better than a cute bed is a FREE cute bed. I love furniture makeovers! ;)
Every time I see something (mainly furniture) that has been thrown away that could potentially be of use I want to get it but Scott never lets me. So more power to you Matt.
